El presidente de la Hebrá Kadishá, D. Marcos Ajuelos, los Rabinos Rav. Meier O`hayon y Rav. Yehuda Benguigu, el Presidente D. Raphael Cohen y la Comunidad Judía de Marbella lamentan profundamente la pérdida del señor Elie Wiesel, hijo de Shlomo y Sarah.
Elie Wiesel, (“Z.L”) falleció a la edad de 87 años, el día 2 de Julio de 2016 (26 Sivan-5776). Superviviente del Holocausto y escritor de “La Noche”, obra que a día de hoy se ha traducido a 30 idiomas, en la que relata su biografía.
Elie Wiesel fue galardonado con el Premio Nobel de la Paz en 1986, declarado judío universal, intelectual y humanista. Ha escrito decenas de libros, participado en miles de conferencias y entrevistado por líderes de todo el mundo.
Nobel de la Paz, premio Medalla de la Libertad, Medalla Presidencial de la Libertad, la Medalla de Oro del Congreso de EE.UU, y el rango de Grand-Croix en la Legión de Honor francesa son algunos de los galardones recibidos por su defensa de los derechos humanos en todo el mundo, así como por su lucha incesante para recordar y educar a las nuevas generaciones sobre la Shoa.
La Comunidad Judía de Marbella, la Junta Directiva y su presidente quieren mostrar sus condolencias y tristezas compartiendo este profundo dolor con la familia Wiesel.

Cohen and the Jewish Community of Marbella deeply regret the loss of
Mr. Elie Wiesel, hijo de Shlomo y Sarah.
Elie Wiesel, (“Z.L”) died at the age of 87 years, on the 2nd of July 2016 (26 Sivan-5776). Auschwitz survivor, author of «The Night», a work that today has been translated into 30 languages, which recounts his biography.
Elie Wiesel was awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986, he admitted to be an intellectual and humanist Jew. He wrote dozens of books, he participated in many conferences and was interviewed by many leaders around the world.
Peace Novel Prize, Medal of Freedom, Presidential Medal of Freedom, Gold Medal at the Us Congress, and the Grand-Croix rank at the French Legion of Honor, are some of the awards he received due to his human rights worldwide defense and its incessant efforts remembering and educating the new generations about the Shoah struggle..
The Jewish Community of Marbella, Board of directors and its President want to show their condolences and sorrow sharing this grief with the Wiesel family.
