Public Affairs Director Phil Rosenberg worked with the Cabinet Office to convene a roundtable of Charedi community leaders from Stamford Hill, Northwest London, Manchester, Gateshead and Canvey Island. The group discussed the current regulations around coronavirus and the vaccine rollout.

Public Affairs Director Phil Rosenberg, Regional Manager Sara Radivan, Government, Regional and Religious Affairs Officer Daniel Elton and International Relations Officer Talia Ingleby met the spiritual and lay leaders of the Belfast Jewish Community, Reverend David Kale and Michael Black, to discuss current challenges facing the Northern Ireland Jewish community and ways that the Board of Deputies might assist.

Treasurer Ben Crowne attended The Lord Mayor’s Service of Reflection and Hope, at St Paul’s Cathedral. He was there as a representative of the City of London’s Jewish community.

Education
Board of Deputies President Marie van der Zyl opened the JNF UK Festival of Spoken Ivrit at JFS School on Friday. The pupils watched the play ‘Me and the Lane’, the story of Israeli Olympic swimmer Itai Chammah which was performed by Itai himself. Marie was introduced by Board of Deputies Senior Vice President Gary Mond in his capacity as Honorary Treasurer of JNF UK. See a photo here.
