As you know, today, commencing *Monday 27th April this evening*, we will come together to mark Yom Hazikaron (Israel’s Memorial Day).
This is of course a very special day, where we pay tribute to all the soldiers who fell in the line of duty, making the ultimate sacrifice for Israel’s freedom, as well as all the victims of terror.
Normally, we know you would have observed this day with a very meaningful commemoration your community, as is traditionally always the case here in Israel. However, due to Coronavirus restrictions, that will not be possible this year.
We are however delighted and proud to invite you to participate in this special *digital Yom Hazikaron ceremony*, commencing *this evening Monday April 27th, 7.45pm (Israel time)*, that The Israeli-Jewish Congress (IJC) will be conducting with our partners TLV Internationals, Israel Forever Foundation and American Zionist Movement.
We will commence by pausing for 2 minutes to hear Israel’s piercing National Memorial Siren, recite Kaddish & El Maleh Rechamim prayers, as well as hear from families of those who lost loved ones in the defense of the State of Israel and from Lone Soldiers who chose to heed the call of duty to serve the Jewish State.
The ceremony will be conducted via *ZOOM* (starting this evening Monday 27th April at 7.45pm Israel time) and you can register for free here: INVITATION: Yom HaZikaron Israeli Siren Live & Personal IDF Stories, Mon April 27 7:45pm
We very much hope you will be able to join us for this dignified ceremony paying our respect to the heroic soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the struggle for Israel’s freedom and the victims of terror, whom we shall never forget.
Yours most sincerely,
